I wonder if some illnesses come from hate. The anger, the grudge we bury in our hearts erupts to the surface in some frightening ailment. We injure ourselves and we don't even know it.

I think is very true. For about three years I could not let go of some anger and bitterness ... Iknow that is a long time (no excuses) ... but I definately felt a change happening in my body. Gained a lot of weight, my chest started hurting sometimes. After Jesus set me free from this bitterness, I lost almost 50 pounds in six months and my chest pain has disappeared. I do think the spirit and body are closely tied together. Anger and bitterness, I believe, has a big impact on the body and the mind. Thank you for sharing this.
yes, there is a direct mind-body connection. "Mind" is used in a larger sense.
