Re: Mark - Happy Birthday

Hi Mark - Awesome to hear from you. The coolest thing I'm doing these
days is monitoring the latest ideas ("memes") on the web via . It consumes an hour each night, and it
is my favourite hour of the day. Man, who woulda thought the web would
be what it is today? RSS, GMail, Bloglines,, podcasting,
blogging. I really dig this stuff.

Dang, I'm dumping my Linksys router

After almost a year of use, it's preventing me from accessing for some reason. Well we can't have that, can we? So farewell to the BEFW11S4.

Dang, I'm getting this error message with the SDE Java API:

Manageability - Open Source Profilers for Java: "I've noticed an upsurge in activity with respect to the development of profilers for the Java enviroment. These projects either exploit the JVMPI (incidentally, targeted for deprecation!) to provide new forms of visualization or use a byte code enhancement technique to provide alternative monitoring schemes. So to keep myself on top of events, I decided to put together this review:"

Introducing Java Desktop Integration Components, Part 1

Introducing Java Desktop Integration Components, Part 1: "If you have been a Java developer for a while you may have had the experience of being told that Java can't do everything that native C can. You may have struggled with the HMTLEditor pane while Windows developers down the hall embed Internet Explorer into their programs with just a few lines of code. I'll admit it: as great as Java is there are times I long for the features and system access of native programming. Well we don't have to wait any longer."

Joe Beda's "# The intrapersonal environment at Google is very energizing. When someone comes up with a new idea, the most common response is excitement and a brainstorming session. Politics and who owns what area rarely enter into it. I don't think that I've seen anyone really raise their voice and get into a huge knockdown drag out fight since coming to Google."

... I need music. It's a must.

Right now I am educating my ears by listening io some CDs from a music appreciation course. We've got it on shuffle, which I think helps to show the cotrasts between the various styles, and adds some variety that is welcome especially if you're not fluent in classical music (like me).

Test post from Axim

test post from GMail

Welcome to JonAquino2

This is the inaugural post of JonAquino2, which is going to be my personal blog. I have another blog, Jon Aquino's Mental Garden, which started out as a personal blog but has of late been focusing more on new technology (specifically the "personal information cloud") and has started to garnish a modest readership of a few dozen (or hundred when I post a really good idea).

Anyway, I needed an outlet for sporadic ramblings, and I did not want to bore my dear JAMG readers; hence, this new blog.
